engineer -

Agreed. I do however see the following big markets for INTC chip building experience with medium prices and good margins:-

1. Handheld going towards mobile phone towards Internet gadget to be carried about and on all the time.

2. Set top boxes. INTC owns a good piece of BRCM

3. Much fancier notebooks including foldable screens

4. 3-D type PCs with super fast graphics.

5. Network chips

6. Some kind of home control or car control type chips - a bit more difficult to sell but there is still agood market there IMHO.

Having said all the above I think INTC is going to have a somwhat harder time to keep up the historic grwoth in revenues and earnings. Stil a great company but I think the tech companies are like a sort of relay race, one starts and then hands on the batton as he sort of runs out of steam. I think the Q is a bit like that now as the batton has been passed to the Q and the Q is running hard out of the blocks. Hopefully it will lead and increase its lead for a good few years and then ....who knows?

Best regards,

L
