Dan,

Nice analysis.

Let me add that until a few days ago there was a real chance the Voodoo3 was going to walk away with a very big chunk of the retail market. TNT2 (the major competition) was not shipping and there are always the possibility of a delay. However, now it is clear that Voodoo3 is going to see major competition from TNT2. We will not know the extent of the competition for a few months.

In addition, TDFX/STBI have taken a big risk in order to obtain OEM wins. We have not seen much evidence of success yet.

TDFX/STBI have indicated that they will make the 'major' oem announcements mid-May. There are several other major events for TDFX/STBI including the merger vote, Rampage announcement at E3 (?), earnings announcement, and shipping of V3 3500.

If TDFX/STBI can hold $16 through the TNT2 launch, I believe that we will see $30 by the end of May.

Joel
