I'm hoping that billers will eventually recognize that they can soup up their bill summaries enough, with offers/info etc. to entice those customers inclined to hot-link out to the biller site, or wishing to get information or detailed, rather than just summary info, to go there, without requiring that they do. My guess is this will happen.

I really don't want to be bounced back and forth between websites when I am trying to pay my bills. That's the equivalent of paying every bill in person -- like going to the phone company to pay the phone bill, going to the electric company to pay for electricity, etc

It really depends on how the links are implemented. If done properly, you could stay within a Checkfree managed window, and the content from the billers would just appear in a frame. Best of both worlds IMHO, gives the biller more control over what you see, and you still manage everything from one site.
