Best Regards

Only way it would work is you convert and open the account with US Dollar. After that any buy/sale will be in US currency and if you have cash balance, never convert it back. Of course, if you need to add more funds, you will again have to convert. Keep in mind however, that even if you do not convert back and forth, you are still in a fix when it comes to reporting your gain and losses which must be in canadian dollar so your results will be affected by the exchange rate at the time of buying and selling, even if your currency in the account was US Dollar.
