I am so glad that you talk back to her. I can't understand people who don't. I hear children just babbling away, and their parents are as silent as stones. I don't know where my list of Ben and Nick's vocabulary was, but Ben's first word was "boo." He was about the same age as Helen, and it meant "I am not happy." He would say, "boo-boo-boo-boo-boo" when he was unhappy, and "boo-boo-boo-da-goo" was extremely emphatic. He wasn't much older before it was "shashi" for "french fry" and "shasi" for "flower."

Yeah, those first few conversations are a little short on verbiage but so long on content. In taht case, go with the fundamentals over the chart...
