One thing I used to do with them, once they started talking, was talk about what they were looking at, or what they had seen, afterwards, on the way home. Trying to get them to develop frames of reference, ways of taking a picture in your own head and describing it so that another person could see it. They are both very verbal, and very good at explaining things. Which is so different from their father.
