Well, people who want to kill will do so via any means available. The fact we have guns here is why it is so prevalent. Should they be outlawed, will we soon outlaw knives as knifings become the primary means of murder, etc.?
It is an endless argument from that perspective (chop off hands when strangulation becomes the sole remaining means of murder).
