Molly- 5- is still coming up with some STRANGE things. She insisted she wanted to wear a tinkertot. (of course I thought she meanr tinkertoy- and assumed my daughter was just a nut, like me) After telling her kindly that we don't wear tinkertoys, my daughter looked at me like I was insane, and went and pulled out a tank top. God knows how she came up with tinkertot. We must speak horrible english for tank top to sound like tinkertot.

Nick started talking later, and when he did, he used complete sentences. I wrote it all down, but I don't remember it. He is much more articulate than Ben. People do a double take when he talks to them for the first time, like maybe they wonder briefly if he is a midget. Last night, he was looking over my shoulder, and saw your post about "Call me Ishmael." I started to tell him what it was, and he said, in a calm and well-modulated voice, "I know what it is. It's the first sentence of the novel, Moby Dick, by Herman Melville." I tried not to drop my jaw.

"Shasi" must have something to do with the way Ben pronounced "f" because "shashi" was "french fry" which has two "f"s.

I remember I would have to translate for him to Chris. Ben would get furious when Chris didn't understand what he was saying.
