Well if they proof read releases then they are opening themselves to liability. If they are just a paid service not talking responsibility for content then I think they are protected by the Compuserve defense. But by claiming that they monitor each post for accuracy, well they just opened the door for a rather interesting spate of little nuisances, and maybe some big problems. Their strategy doesn't appear to be well thought out.
