You may be correct. I don't know the dynamics of the board, or Sims percent ownership of the company - both of which would be important to Sims influence and current standing.

Regardless, bringing in mature, experienced talent appears to be an implicit acknowledgement of the leadership problem that exist(s)(ed) (hopefully past tense with the placement of Van Kemmel) at CATP.

My bet is that it will ultimately lead to a sellout or the replacement of Sims, either or both of which I would view as positive. Sometimes it takes a bit of chess playing to get rid of the bad apple, especially if it is the CEO. If the people reporting to Sims are much stronger and more capable leaders than he is, it is an inherently unstable situation that will need to be addressed at some point.

Granted this is speculation on incomplete information, but that is what I do.
