<<someone should mention that of the #shares shorted on the XAU stocks, at higher prices, still need to be covered. Unlike the physical shorts on gold. Try covering millions of shares, takes a few weeks. Maybe this is why the XAU rises when the POG barely moves, or even moves lower?>>

Heard from my broker(not the on-line one) many "bigger players" long the internets are also short some gold issues, so any move in one can cause greater inverse move in other side.

Hutch,
Will you re-evaluate on a close over 69.70 on the XAU?
Some big time inflation out there...trust me.

Jim

Well, Hutch I am glad that you seem to admit that you did not expect this short-covering so soon and inspite of bad news...
I wish you most of lack, I am glad because I know how astute you are to recognise that more people begin to understand that the bottom is in....gold and commodities, thus patience my friend and with little lack and help of bizarre Clinton's administration we will rotate out of the internet and dollar into asia and oil/gold...:)
Keep-up a good work-you are very helpful...
