What I am referring to is a situation like the following:

A certain stock goes from, say, 5 to 20 in one morning. Less patient shorts might jump in immediately and short at 20. The more experience shorts and those more experienced with the market might wait, for whatever reason (usually short-term technical reasons), for the stock to go even higher. Often it does. That's patience. And patience frequently pays.

CYOE concerns me. I don't have a position right now but I have played with it over the past few weeks, usually for a small profit. I've been following it ever since the famous thestreet.com expose on the whereabouts of their supposed largest customer (Crescent). It sounds like a scam, but I don't know if/when it's going to die. I might short it again if it hits 7 1/2 or so, but it seems like there are better ways to play with my money out there.
