The game continues with what ifs.
1. What if the 5 O'clock news reported some food shortages because of the Y2K problem. Do you think it would take more than one day for people all over this nation to rush to local stores, empty the shelves and create a real food shortage?.

2. What if the 5 O'clock news reports the possible real danger of huge loss of data around the world because of the Y2K problem, and closes with urging to back up as soon as possible.

Things happen fast.

<< I'm sure not crazy enough to copy my pictures to my hard drive then erase them from the Clik! disks just to save a few bucks. Instead, I intend to copy the pictures to my hard drive and keep the originals on the Clik! disks, simply buying more Clik! disks when I need them. >>

A better solution is to just back up your 'picture' directory to a ZIP or JAZ disk. I wouldn't trust my data on a CLIK! disk. Iomega tells you to be careful even when writing on the label!

I still think the CLIK! will be a 'transfer' mechanism between digital cams and PCs. Therefore, it will not hit the mass market volumes. 'Power users' and Iomaniacs will use it, but what percentage of the digital cam market will? 10 million digital cam units will be sold in 2000, TEN PERCENT penetration (nearly impossible in my mind) is only 1m drives. 1% penetration = 100,000 units.

I find it interesting that we are hearing no sales volume data from the sbateh. Selective reporting is very dangerous.

This is NOTHING like the ZIP ramp. There was TONS of excitement then. I really believe Rocky on this one, so far.
