My bearishness is primarily a result of the political circus in Russia.
Nothing knocks a country on its ass like an incompetent government.

As for VIP, it has had sharp increases in uncollectibles over the past several quarters - I see no reason why that trend should decellarate now. Its growth has also been thwarted because of the tumultous economy.
The Company will run out of capital and into the doghouse. I'm already very surprised as to how high its current price is. Undoubtedly, that can be solely attributed to the aggresiveness of Goldman's brokers.
And just think, they would've pushed Gazprom on the market here right when the RTS was at its peak, but prudent policy by the government, including sanctions on companies that do business with Iran (Gazprom)
prevented the offering from ever ocurring. Goldman is still miffed about that one.
