Thanx Mike; That clears tAht up in my mind, the paired trade
is not as good as it looks on a long term chart , but it's
still OK. Drops the average from 16% a year to about 15% over
the last 3 yrs.
I'm not really in to hold long term any way but just to set up
and have an edge until some mo mo lets me leg out of one side;
ie to be ahead with an edge when some real momentum hits.
However if one is not using their margin, even after margin
rates this should make 10% per yr if it's put in the margin
account , or so it looks to me.
I mostly just work out of my cash account, except for the shorts
but if I may ask;; when I happen to know ahead taht I'm going to Day trade an issue, and if I use the margin account , will they debit me
with a margin rate, ( in and out the same day ) ?
I'v not tried that yet, guess I ought to do one and see <G>
Jim
PS
BTW I'm not much into picking stocks nowdays but just ran across
HUM , which seems to be beat down below her cash on hand,
I'v had a good bit of luck in the past buying cash at a
discount ( when I can find it ) if you have time take a
look.
