<<Looking for reentry point, any opinions. I got out @161 and thought about getting back in today.>>

Vor, as most people on this thread could tell you, I am the last one who would be against short trading this stock. I just do not feel that this is a good time to be doing it. Yes you could make a few bucks, but if AT&T clinches this deal, ATHM will pop at least 25 points immediately. This news could come rather swiftly and you would not have a chance to reenter. You might want to rethink your position at present. I myself had my finger on the trigger early today and then decided not to pull it. This news is to big to mess around with IMO. Broadband/cable is at a turning point right now and this could be the most important time in history for the success of cable being the internets connection. Just giving you something else to think about.

This period is similar to last time (January). A massive drop (actually two legs down) followed by a big jump up and then ups and downs (really going nowhere) until all the earnings are out (end of month). Kind of like a earthquake. This is aftershock time.

IMHO, you would be foolish to try and guess the entry point. 10 and 20 point swings are frequent. What you do know is that next month the split date will be announced, the merger will be done and ATHM will feel free to announce new stuff. I can't imagine them sitting still after the merger. The down side? Worst possible thing is that the gang of 4 (Comcast + Billy + Paul + AOL) get UMG and pull the plug on ATHM over all their system. The big upside? It goes the other way.

Lots of fun watching ATHM CEO interview:
Ques: What are you going to do at future board meetings? Either T or Comcast will be the loser in this deal. Both have to come to meetings and sit at the same table!

Ans.: Maybe we can buy a much longer table.
