A 66 buyout is a pipe dream. Eric B even stated that when 3Com hit 50s, everyone in the executive offices knew it was too high and began selling. IMO, if the deal happens soon (next 3 mos.) 3Com will get around 50 if it is sold piecemeal to several companies (10 for Palm; 30 for remote access products; 10 for the rest). And it will get around 40-45 if sold as an on-going concern. Since I bought some more shares trying to catch a falling knife at 39, 40 is not such a great number for me. But I would be happy to be rid of this albatross.
