Ken P,

Iomega tells you to be careful even when writing on the label!

The original 5.25 floppys had the same problem of writing on the label while the label was on the disk. It didn't seem to hamper them from selling a bazillion drives and disks.

<<How can Iomega compete with this? It used to be that one of Zip's functions was to make room on full hard drives>>

That's one way to look at. Another way would be that as files and hard drives get bigger, Zip media will be used more often for regular storage of everyday common things. Thus, the drive functional use is expanded and no longer limited to special "backup," purpose. As a result, more media for everyday files.
