Compaq Armada Notebook PCs Aim for Mount Everest HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1999--Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ - news) today announced today that three Compaq Armada 7400 Series notebook personal computers are on their way to Mount Everest as part of the Everest Extreme Expedition (E399), a unique team of health-science experts studying the challenges of humans in extreme and remote environments. The E399 team departed for Nepal on April 21st.
