Nvidia announced new deals with Micron, which probably explains its rise.

My take:

NVDA is up because of the Diamond/Micron announcement.
TDFX is down because the same announcement is perceived as a door that's now closed to them.

"...announced today that their work together will soon result in Micron standardizing on NVIDIA TNT2 graphics processors in all Micron(tm) Millennia® desktop systems."

The highlight on "all" was my addition. Contrast it to the "selected models" phrase that we've seen in some of the 3dfx OEM win press. I never really kept up with Micron. Whose graphics chips/boards have they been using up to this point?

The real reason is my decision to do the pair trade (long TDFX -- short NVDA), but the market jumped the gun <g> I never made that trade. BTW, how are the NVDA law suits going?

P.S. Bought a load of TSM today in anticipation of good CC.
