MSPG, and PCOR... today's watch list and MSPG earnings play.

Mindspring (MSPG: news, msgs) shares could take off Wednesday once investors learn of the company's positive first-quarter earnings report. Excluding one-time items, earnings hit 16 cents a share, 3 cents ahead of the consensus estimate. Revenue rose to $61.6 million, compared with $39.5 million in the year-ago period. "Our customer based increased by 67 percent from the prior quarter, and we surpassed the 1 million customer mark," said Charles Brewer, chairman and chief executive officer. Shares closed down 8 5/8 to 116 5/16 ahead of the news.

After the market closed, PCOrder.com Inc. (PCOR: news, msgs) reported a narrower-than-expected loss of 20 cents a share. That number beat the First Call estimate by 5 cents a share. Shares closed up 2 5/16 to 74.
