RSD, I am hearing that there may be some changes to the retirement
plan which will allow, among a number of things, the ability to
remove over funded dollars under existing ERISA guidelines. If true,
this could be a windfall of 2 to 3 billion dollars to boost any
business stall in the fourth quarter or first quarter 2000 and it
would go to the bottom line on an after tax basis since it went into
the retirement on a tax incented basis. If any of this happens
those who are on the thread and have retired from IBM could shed some
light on what it all means. Thanks in advance.
