Nor have I had anything great in puts since the end of August. Anyone I know who was short the market these last few weeks missed out on everything, all the spectacular 'net gains, and had perhaps one-two good day through a very short correction. Nothing to do with puts but daytrade them or 1-3 day holds. Its not too clever to buy internet puts for the long term in this market. .

actually options almost trade independant of the stock...demand creates the price...as well as volitlity and sector of the underlying...

puts are only good in corrections when people and MO Mo's leaving the stock... i do trade them but not much...

calls are my forte...usually in the monies...ITM's....

Index puts are better like the OEX....
