i'll give you my best (non-definitive) understanding...
1) you can daytrade a stock any number of times, but not with money that you got after selling an overnight position...ie if you have 50K cash to start the day, you can do whatever you want...but if you have 25K, and close a position to start the day giving you another 25K, you have less of a daytrading limit...since i never carry anything home, i've never had a problem
2)you can set up "market minders" for NYSE/ NASD stocks, and have a dynamic update of winners/losers/volume leaders
3) you cannot have it report volume breakouts...ie all stocks trading twice avg daily volume and price increasing....if you know of anything that will provide that info in realtime, please let me know...
for more info, check abwatley thread

Thanks to all of you for the after hours quotes on BIDS.
I was downloading Real Player so I can go on the auction tonight.
CNBC just said instinet trading at 20 for BIDS after hours.
Does that mean a gap up in the am?
