INTERNET--(esecurities.W)--April 27, 1999 - PineTree CEO has confirmed NKCIFs ownership in SoftQuad Software "has been drastically reduced" [pursuant to said PineTree investment]...and not pursuant to simple mathematical dilution pursuant to PineTree's thirty-five (35%) ownership position. Accordingly, when pressed, Mr. Sheldon Inwentash further confirmed that a separate contemporaneous transaction by and between NewKidCo International and SoftQuad Software took place which Mr. Inwentash was not at liberty to disclose and suggested contacting NewKidCo International, which accounted for said "drastically reduced" ownership. Note: NKCIFs ownership in SoftQuad Software was nineteen (19%) percent prior to said PineTree investment.
