MTI Technologies Corp. rose 2 11/16 to 8 1/8.

DoubleClick, a provider of Internet advertising, reported a first-quarter operating loss of 13 cents a share, even with analysts' view and narrowed from 21 cents a year ago. MTI Technologies' shares rose on news that DoubleClick has agreed to use MTI Tech's fibre channel-based storage systems to support the company's worldwide operations.
