Teery ; My shorts go into some sort of margin account and I'v
never seen a charge for that even if I held them, except if they
get marked to book in the red it's taken out of my cash account.

Heck Mike gets rebates on his shorts , and I feel like I should
after all they are making interest on the money, however I know
at times they borrow the shares and have to pay to borrow them.

KAUFX use to be a big share lender and they generated some
income by lending out shares. I'm not sure they still do tath
something happened to KAUFX as they seem dead in the water as of
late.

Terry, I am not charged margin interest if I hold a short using my buying power. It's bad enough that they keep the interest from the cash generated by the short.
