Have we determined the "official" disposition of shares whose owner does NOT specifically vote? Do they count as Yea or Nay?

As far as prompting owners to vote, I think it's to make sure they've tallied enough votes by Friday's meetings to be sure that 50%+ have voted FOR the merger and that the number of uncounted votes is not a factor. That way, they can announce with certainty at the meetings that the merger has been approved.

Thread,

Is any one else concerned about the availability of the Voodoo3 products? Voodoo3 started shipping almost 3 weeks ago and many popular e-tailers still do not appear to have stock. For instance, BuyComp.com has not stocked the Voodoo3 3000 to date.

There are a few possibilities that come to mind...

1) TDFX is strongly favoring certain retailers. For example, EBWorld signed a mutually beneficial agreement with TDFX.

2) The demand far exceeds the supply.

3) In preparation for large OEM launches, TDFX had to limit the supply to the retail channel.

4) Production has been limited.

Can anyone else comment? Have people observed large stacks of products at their local retailer? Has anyone received a Voodoo3 from BuyComp.com or any other e-tailers that do not show product in-stock?

I would hate to see customers lost to competitors solely due to lack of availability.

Joel

Had a similar call on Sunday. The proxy hadn't arrived then, although it came yesterday. It seemed odd to me to get such a call for an 800 share position. The only other times I've gotten such calls is either from mutual funds, warning that if I don't return the proxy they'll have to raise fees to cover the costs of more mailings, and for serious contests for directors' seats. It occurred to me that perhaps they were checking if the proxies had been mailed.
