Who says there were fewer in the past? You, with the usual level of backup popular among bloviators everywhere? Oh, I forget, you have a firm grasp on the relevant units here. Anyway, 15 dead in Littleton makes a big story, but statistically, it's a drop in the bucket among the 30k+ firearms deaths a year in the U.S. Airplane crashes always make big stories too, but a lot, lot more people die in car crashes. The only difference is, we try hard to reduce death due to car crashes and airplane crashes, both. Gun deaths, that's another story. I'm sure with your firm grasp, you can pump out an easy answer on that one too.

<<Daniel--- There is a question about the rash of such school shootings in the last few years, which is unusual. If you want to say that the answer is gun control, than you have to answer the question of why such incidents were less frequent in the past, since we have not moved from a paradise of fire- arms regulation. >>

Clinton now has a domestic agenda. He is alive again and not dealing with failed foreign policy. No more what are we doing in the Balkins but we need more gun control. As if the 10,000 plus laws made a difference.
