APPLE SHINES The recent rebound in personal computer stocks has finally infected Apple Computer (AAPL). Apple broke out of a trading range late last week around its 200 day moving average (on good volume). In today's trading, the stock jumped another 4 points to a three-month high and is nearing its January high at 47. Our longer- range work suggests there's a good chance Apple stock will eventually break through that barrier. If and when that occurs, our next upside target would be the 1995 peak at 50 with a longer-range goal to the 65-70 region. The stock is probably over-extended on a short-term basis. On any pullback, initial support should be seen near 42.
