If Business Wire had had the presence of mind to react as did wired.com, they would have sustained no damage to their reputation, and might even have learned something.

If they'd had any sense at all, on the second they'd simply have offered us the chance to publish another PR in which we explained the joke.

Instead, they started in immediately with threats and demands.
