There were three key issues that held earnings to consensus:

1. R&D expenses spiked more than 11% higher than December. This was attributed to Stratus integration issues and guidance was given that R&D would retrace from the current 16.3% of sales to about 15% in the next couple of quarters.

2. Share count was nearly 4% higher than previous guidance due to options activity around the LU merger.

3. Stratus revenues were down $15 million or so sequentially. RAC was up 45% YoY and Core switching was up 72% YoY - not too bad.

oops, a fourth issue -

4. Deferred revenue balance increased AGAIN - I guess Mory didn't want (or wasn't allowed ) to go out in a blaze of glory.

The street will yawn over these numbers.
