I know that I've been critical of CNBC at times, but I do have a (selfish) suggestion. Can they run more entertaining commercials? Since they can charge premium prices now that they 'determined' that their viewers are of premium quality, they could easily afford to give a 'bit' of incentive for those advertisers who cloak their message in an entertaining as well as informative manner.

Some examples:

The DELL computer ad where the rat burns down the maze. I first saw it on CNBC, but not lately.

The Lennox (Furnaces, Air Conditioners) ad where the main floor has penguins on ice and upstairs has camels and sand.

All Ameritrade ads. (I'm not sure if it's Ameritrade, I'm too busy laughing!) The young broker who talks of 'HIS' retirement and not his client's is running currently on CNBC. I love the one where the kids send the old folks back to work.

Anyway, if we could raise the quality of the ads, we wouldn't resent their intrusion as much.

Just ranting, PW.
