Oh my, why the sudden turn around in opinion (not necessarily by you) re. BIDS. It hit the street like a lead balloon when it IPOed. Then it came with this announcement re. live auctions. I say whooptie doo. How does that change the fundamentals of this company? That's just a bloody gimic, no effect on the business model (which is no near as good as EBAY's).

I love the volume of the past two days. It means that many suckers, like possibly yourself, are stuck in this turd at very elevated prices. It being a IPO, means not many can short it. This means a small open short interest. This means not many shorts will be around to support the price when it comes tumbling down.

After tonight, the interest will wane, when, the hype is over and the new gimic is fact. That's the way the street works, buy on rumour, sell on fact.

So all you bullish longs on this thread will be tomorrow all lining up at the door wanting to get out while the getting is good.

So happy investing...

Jon, BIDS has yet to prove that it's a player in this industry. Nevertheless, compared to the better established competitors (like ONSL, UBID, EGGS), BIDS just can not sustain a $1B market cap.

I was a little disappointed that it didn't go higher than $24 today, I wanted to short more at higher prices real bad. There's still hope for one more chance tomorrow.

Regards,

Tom
