Huh? My post you responded to - 2942 - did not list hardware sales.

I believe on previous posts I mentioned that a complete AAPL OSX Server bundle could be had for $6-8,000. That includes QT4 Server. For a mid-level editing package add $1,000 for Final Cut. But after that, you can serve as many clients as you want, without further payment to Apple.

[Or you can take what AAPL has open-sourced and modify it yourself to run on your own box. This is for high-end providers; universities, etc. who are equipped to "roll their own". But for most it would be cost effective to just purchase a turn-key system.]

This was what Ben & Jerry used to host its Annual Free Ice Cream Cone Day. In all likelihood, their resident geek got the OK to order one when it debuted at NAB and slapped it together, along with the home-made video, last week.

IMO, *this* is the future. Lot's of small and mid-size companies looking to jazz up their content for a minimal investment. Yet all will cater to their own niche audience who will link w/Apple for the QT4 download.

PS> BTW, the line for B&J was around the block, while the Smoothie King next door wasn't doing much business at all.

PPS> No, I'm not spamming for B&J. Tip: If you offer to make a donation to Breast Cancer Research, they move you up in the queue.
