PM didn't eat his disk. Why would you even beleive such a thing. I expect more from you :)

I do not know what 'ate' the disc. My understanding is the drive booted without a problem. Then PM was executed and the machine froze. Then the machine was powered down with the power switch. Then the drive would not boot.

I agree that opening the program should not cause a problem. The problems I had were during PM operations.

On the other hand shutting a machine down with the power switch can cause a problem. I shut down with the power switch everytime it freezes..what else can you do? Most of the time the machine recovers without a problem. On occasion it seems like more serious damage is done and I have to go through safe mode.

My GUESS is the problem had to do with the power shut down. The power shut down was necessary as PM froze. So it is at least a possibility that PM was indirectly related to the problem.

I agree that the problem could also be related to swapping drives. Perhaps PM froze because of something related to the drive swapping. I do not believe the drive in question is in the swap procedure but swapping any drive may have caused PM to pause. ALL guesses but PM plays with fire and caution is always in order.

My point is to take the most cautious approach. PM did give me a problem when I was resizing my seventeen gig drives..(or at least the problem occurred while I was using PM) Clarence has two seventeen gig drives just like mine so I believe the cautionary note is in order.
