Art,
Sony's memory stick won't necessarily find "wide acceptance" outside of Sony itself. Their competitors might not be happy about buying a crucial bullet from them, would be happier to buy from SNDK who is only a supplier and not competition in other areas, as long as Sandisk can keep up, which it is and, I trust, will continue to do. Eventually Sony will give up, as they did with Betamax.
