Hi Blue & All don't like to think of what some of you must have heard to get you so upset but can well imagine. In the a.m. after driving my daughter to school if I push buttons on my car radio and come up blank on the rock and roll, have sometimes listened to Stern & dunno why. Usually Stern gets turned off before I'm back at the house because he's a turn-off; for one thing he's actually made me gag early in the morning with one of his belch surprises into the microphone. I don't sit in the car to listen to more as I would for good music...just turn him off mid-sentence and go inside - that's how fascinating it is. A little ashamed to admit I've heard the show, and believe you without hearing details that he really went too far this time. Doubt if the network'll have the sense to yank him for it. More likely he'd be putting phone calls of outrage on the show only to mock the people or make more rotten jokes, than to apologize. His and other "HATE TALK" Programs accomplish nothing good but I guess they attract market$hare & ad$ so they stay on the air. Another AVOID - One day Stern was praising and calling Infiniti Broadcasting System "My Company" so it perked up my ears to hear him talking about stocks around the time I was on that internetwork kick. Didn't buy CBS or INF either but for other reasons. INF is the CBS Radio Subsidiary and so it qualifies for the Stern AVOID List. Whatever Stern said about the CO school tragedy he should know better than to make any kind of joke about it, good enough reason to never listen to him again and I won't. This is a dad of teenage kids too, makes ya wonder how he disconnects himself from himself so he can run such a show. How cold. Gotta wonder if when mean kids tease his kids, does their dad tell 'em shaddup & cry all the way to the bank, or what? Yep, affirming ***** AVOID rating on Stern, CBS, and adding INF to the list. None have enough respect for the opportunity of their position to enhance our decent American society. yer pal, Joan
