Raymond, I'm not concerned about today's action in MSFT. So long as the stock manages to put in a higher bottom than 79 7/8.

Like I posted earlier, i am not a believer in TA except that i know that some others follow it. In the long run, IMHO, it is meaningless long term but in the short term, you can capitalize on it.

IMO, Microsoft won't see a price below 80 for any period of time. Couple of days under 80 is not a big deal. One month from now, i still expect it to be in the 80s. As I posted earlier today, it does not really have to do much with TA, but instead has to do with what the company wants as a support level. If they see 80, they will aggressively buy it. If for some reason, it hits 75 while the rest of the market is not suffering as much, they will make some sort of announcement to boost it. However, the key is whether MSFT does poorly in relation to the competition in stock price.

Remember October 97, the day after that huge drop, IBM announced a share buyback at 10:00 AM on the next day and the market reversed in a big way. IMHO, MSFT board members would do the same if they see underperformance in the stock. I have not seen MSFT underperform the S and P, DOW, or Nasdaq over a period of at least one calender year. I will bet that they will beat all three averages again this year.
I am just trying to time the best entry and exit points to get even better results.

BTW--I bet MSFT sees that 80 is a support level from their own technical analysis------I think they do psychological analysis.
