Keith:

The $30 flat fee was for US trades using PC Quote I believe. I haven't used PCQuote yet.

So far here is the type of commissions I've paid:

CDN trade example(CDN$):
Online: Bought 2000 shares of a $2.50 stock on TSE--->$30 commission
Online: Sold the 2000 shares minutes later----->$34.50 commission

US Trades(US$):
Online: Buy 10,000 shares of a $0.29 stock on Nasdaq--->$30
Online: Sold the 10,000 shares $0.92---->$30

Online: Buy 1000 shares of a $6.25 stock on Nasdaq--->$15.62
Online: Sell 1000 shares @ $10--->$30

Phone: Buy 1000 shares of a $11.25 Nasdaq stock--->$56.87
Phone: Sell 1000 shares--->$30

I really can't find a pattern or a reason for the commission amounts. I have a range of $15 to $96 commission on my trades depending on price and method (online vs phone). So far the inconsistencies have been heavily in my favour so I haven't brought it up ;)

One day I'll ask them but I don't care right now because I like the speed of their service and I trust they will fix any problems that might arise.

Let me know how your cdn trading goes Keith.

Take care,

Essam.
