got in to the auction site on the US side. Very confusing. They were posting the wrong information re what item was coming up, they started late, the first item was the Roger Clemens baseball but they indicated they were starting with the posters, the host is a completed idiot who is very boring. The quantity available is VERY limited so sales will be poor. The sound quality is pretty good when it works. The video sucks. Out of 10 I'll give it a 3.

Lola, you posted:

The key is the great prices (as it is with a giant like Amazon). Most people would just as easily order a book through their local bookstore rather than go to Amazon(considering shipping costs etc) but they buy from Amazon because of the prices. On the Internet everything is price, price, price unless you are in a very niche market.

Bingo! You have just pointed out the main reason why BIDS may never be profitable. The internet is great for consumers but is very difficult for a net-based company to generate profits.
