I'm running a 233 with 56k modem also and do not have a problem. All the instructions were laid out earlier and it works just fine for me.

Sometimes it also depends on your I.S.P. because they can't adapt to many users on line at the same time especially when it is a heavy traffic trying to get access to bid.com dutch auction on time

You computer is fine, I'm in with a pentium 200 and everything is great.
