AOL will bid for UMG! T has ATHM!! The greatest story on earth will be T & AOL on a JV!

This will happen unless of course MSFT comes into the picture. Although I believe MSFT presently onws a piece of UMG through Comcast!

Stay tuned!

Kevin

Hi, Jenne - Thanks for the citation of the very interesting ML scenario for AOL - T alliance. Some very compelling mutual benefits. Cable telephony competition versus Baby Bells is very interesting point.

Wouldn't that be the absolute icing on the AOL cake -- just add a little RNWK to the mix and that would be it !

BTW, this would also be more than a bit of irony. As you likely are aware, Case tried to work out some alliance directly some months ago with ATHM CEO Jermoluk but they couldn't come to terms. I saw a Jermoluk interview at the time when he said the deal fell through because AOL wanted ATHM to serve as a "dumb pipe" and ATHM wanted to be more than that. However, as noted, AOL's ready made high traffic and superior ready made content may be just the pieces for Mike Armstrong's big picture puzzle. You have to like this guy's style, "vision" and courage to execute. (I'm holding TCOMA - converted T shares and hopefully soon to be UMG - converted T shares.)

Anyway, let's hope it all plays out by way of the outlined scenario.
