Gregory, Your words have meaning only if they apply to psychological damage, not company damage. Perception of Dell has been tarnished by the Dan Niles type of lick. It will all go away as soon as they show the numbers indicating 40 - 50% growth is still on track. The public has a short term memory, lingering bad tastes are quickly cured with a solid dash of sugar.

** OT **

Greg, Re: AOL -- I disagree. No sooner did I finish posting something to the effect that AOL's advertising numbers had not shown the exponential growth that many had expected in the past then the company turns around and does just that this quarter. Look at this -- 3 mo yoy advertising revenues increased 93.7% while subscription revenues increased 49.8%. That's a beautiful validation of the hypothesis. Congratulations AOL! Whether the stock deserves the price is beside the point. The company is performing beautifully.

TTFN,
CTC
