Sonny, hey, I'm happy. I just feel somewhat vindicated in thinking the stock was severely undervalued fundamentally (posts 1520, 1526). I'm up almost 40% in the six weeks since I bought in. Sometimes the "market" can ignore good fundamentals for a while or even a long time.

Again, just speculating,... technically it looks to me that a double bottom is in place (very bullish). Short term, the RSI looks overbought. But intermediate term (6-12 mo), technically the price target based on this upwardly slanted W formation should be the depth of the second dip (~$10) + value before this decline, (~22) = ~$30-32, up from my previous price targe of $24 [John Murphy, Visual Investing]. A small increase in fundamentals would be enough (+ probably necessary) to support this kind of move.

Have enjoyed reading the thread and wanted to contribute my 2 cents.

Sonny - Echoing James, I came back to SYMC last month after leaving in Oct '98 (following my disastrous (spelling?) re-entry to the stock in Apr '98 after several years' absence). Its fundamentals and long term prospects looked good to me last month (much better than they did Apr '98) in spite of the then-open question of head mgt. succession. I figured "they'd" choose somebody good and, imo, "they" did. In truth, I was looking for a several month upward creep rather than this leap. Hence, I'm excited but I can hide it by whispering, "Remember last year" to myself. OTOH, you got at least two of us to write (hahaha).
Regards,
Harry
PS - Came back as a S/H - never been an employee; wrong skillset.
