That's a persuasive set of analogies. I begin to think that stockpiles of silver will have to be totally exhausted until some user who can't get on without it bids the price up out of sheer necessity. It's been over ten years since there was even a minor pop in the price. Hard to believe now, but there was a company back in the early 1980s that was selling silver coins that it guaranteed to repurchase at $10 an ounce. I hope that they had plenty of cash set aside for that purpose.
