Metabyte PGP info from Rumorfish...

Sources close to the two parties have told Sharky Extreme that Alienware paid Metabyte somewhere in the area of one to two million dollars for the exclusive technology licensing of the PGP driverset.

I assume that this term "exclusive" portends the death of PGP. I assume that means you have to buy an Alienware computer just to get the technology. Alienware PC's are great but I won't buy a brand new system just to get a video card.

I won't give the URL as this is the most important part...other than them saying that PGP TNT2 would be cool. One little problem with that. TNT2 requires AGP texturing which won't work with PGP. Oops. Looks like Alienware's first PGP systems will be Voodoo3. Jeez, even when 3dfx loses they win.
