You've probably already figured this out, but Search & Rescue is the multi-license version of Lost & Found (clever naming scheme, eh?).

Also, I believe PQ contradicts themselves when they say they don't write to the hard-drive -- because isn't that what they must do to identify the drive to the software for license enforcement?

If that's true, how do they mark the drive, and why did I lose the space occupied by the partition I recovered data from?

I wonder what that "manually recovering data" means?
