Intel and Level One Merger Receives Clearance From Federal Antitrust Agencies

Jump to first matched term

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1999--Level One Communications Incorporated and Intel Corporation today announced that the 30-day waiting period for antitrust review of the proposed merger of the companies has expired.

The waiting period allowed the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice to conduct a review under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act of Intel's planned merger with Level One. The waiting period expired without any request for additional information being issued. As a result of the expiration the parties have clearance from both federal antitrust agencies to consummate the merger. The merger is expected to be completed following Level One stockholder approval.
