very interesting reading for those who like to see how GMGC's 'Information Anywhere' technologies will be positioned/valued in the future:

iword.com

(no it doesn't mention GMGC - sigh)

Hi deepresearch

I have to agree with you, a buyout from SUNW doesn't make much sense unless, they are the "mystery" private investor. But, I doubt it. The new financing deal doesn't fit with this rumor. IMO

I guess only time will tell.

Still long

Deep, you might be right. But with regards to
Sun I don't think the MSFT deal is a barrier. MSFT is
hardly a GMGC "partner", from all appearances their role
has been completely passive. To date, they've simply
been money without an active role in GMGC.

The NT platform is a problem, but Kenya (if it is really
pure Java) would run on anything. And, as we all know,
the day is young. It isn't like GMGC has 10M customers
all tied into NT. Systems can be ported.

As to the other candidates, QWST makes a lot of sense
to me as well. Or any telcom, for that matter.
